Eden NSWJust got back from my parents place yesterday, here are some pics from that wharf where they recently filmed the John West commercial, I didn't see anyone from JW though sorting through the catch!
Comments welcome They were taken on my 28 -300mm Tamron Some more can be seen here for those interested http://www.seanreason.com/Eden1.html "The more I learn, the less I realise I know"
Sean - great photos. I have always wanted to go to Eden on a photo shoot as there seems to be something magical about the place

Ew, that middle one is gross! I'm not really into dead things!
Sean, how do you like your 28-300?? I have had one for about 7 months. At first I loved it and thought it was fantastic. Now that I am beginning to know what I am doing and be more discerning, I'm finding it a bit limiting and soft (although I do love the range). Just curious to see how you find yours.
eden is awesome, great fishing in a couple of inlets to the south end of eden which will remain nameless. plenty of history as well especially around boydtown and nullica. by the way sean they are great pics!
shoot it real.
look! and see. Shoot and feel
IMOMarvin, so far I have been happy with the Tamron lens, I have had it a month or so now so you would expect I would say that.
For the money you do get the zoom that your after but also inherit the limitations that go with it. I consider those limitations (the gamit of them when compared and expected to a lens 5 times the price) as permissable and not as important as just getting the shot sort of thing. Thats not to say I do not look at the technical aspects of every photo I take, I review and cut most of my shots over three sessions, one on the camera and usually two before PP and so far my own photography has let me down more than the lens.
