Almost two months ago I posted some photos from a portrait session of a pregnant friend.

It was time now for a new session a couple of weeks ago. This time can see some bare skin. Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Having never taken a picture of a pregnant lady take my comments with a grain of salt!

I think the lack of eye contact in the first is the way to go - I think this type of image really needs to show that connection between the mum and.. the 18 years of.. oops..i mean bundle of love and joy inside! In the first image I really feel that connection between the mum and child!

The same image but with teh eye contact on the camera changes the whole dynamic and in my opinion is no where near as strong an image as the first.

The last image really connects the mum with the camera, again, i think there needs to be that connection with teh child - the hand on the belly almost does it, however its OOF and the eye is not drawn there naturally.

I like teh use of the sheer shawl thingy, but would have preffered a natural BW image, maybe how about a silhouette image?

I hope this helps, a bit at least

skin is the thing 8) 8)

in the first i reckon she needs a little more of the "pleased " look ... its almost there.

and i like the "where did this thing come from/innocent" look ... would be good showing the belly.

also a bare boobs shot would be good but if she's shy then just for her private collection ... i think she will appreciate it more later on to look back on.

The idea in the second shot is great. I am not too sure of the PP treatment though, too blue and cold for my liking. Maybe a strong B&W would have suited this shot. Also as like the other one I commented on, I think the second shot would have worked better without the bra, it is slightly distracting. Other than that though, I really like the second.

Thanks very much for the comments and feedback, guys. Andrew, I also have a very similar image to the 2nd, but in b&w.

Cheers
