thank you Rooz. I have been thinking of a 300 F4 as a stopgap measure until I could talk the missus into letting me buy the 2.8. Now I know I would never be satisfied with such a miserable midget of a lens. :lol:

I will just have to save more and wait longer, hopefully while the dollar appreciates.

Rooz, Did you really use three umbrella's to light this????

What's your setup for the white background?

I suppose this is why we won't be getting a 24-200 1.8 that anyone could carry or afford.....ever..... perhaps micro 4 3rds?

As large as the 300 2.8 is it has nothing on the 400 2.8 - now that is a front element!!!

*drools profusely* I really wouldnt mind having a play with EITHER of those lenses but I dont think there is room in my kit for a 300 prime.
