took me a while to get this thing warmed up cos have been so busy, click for larger images. talk abotu sharp wide open...sheesh...thanks for looking.

this one showed me how blistering fast the AF is on the 300/2.8. this bird was behind me, lucas called out for me to look and i swung around, aimed and shot. i got 3 frames, 3 frames in focus. incredible. made my 24-70 feel slow.

i think posting images taken with that lens should be banned - creates a serious case of lens envy

great subject/background separation.

Keep that lens locked in a safe. It's a beautiful performer....Oh, and I suppose the photographer has a little skill also...he has to drive that monster. :D :D :D

Anyone want an entire Canon outfit- after seeing these my days as a photographer are clearly wasted- I should leave it to the experts and THAT GEAR.
Beautiful shots beautifully taken.

Yes, the combination of a wide aperture and long prime works wonders for the bokeh - simply magical combination
