Junior Birds of Prey

Well another visit to Broken Hill and Adam has come up with the goods again - today we found two Wedge Tailed Eagle chicks in a nest about 500m from the last two which we found two years ago. We were lucky enough to spend the day with them and the setting sun delivered that special light.

The wedgies speak for themselves - lucky to see these :)

I like the Nav shot though - especially thinking to put the lighting on inside. Looks cool :)

Yes yes we had a terrific couple of days, and come up with some stunning shots

A shot of Tony at the wedgetails nest at wide as i could go, with the 120-300 and 1.4x

those babies are really special..that lighting really adds to the images. I have to admit that I cannot pick a favourite

Some truly special images here, and especially in the way that you've captured a sense of self-pride in the way that these chics present themselves.

Looks like a really productive and positive time was enjoyed by you both, and that is just so good to see and hear.

Excellent work as usual. The Canon 400mm f/2.8 has well and truly paid you back in spades.

For me #1&3.
