Three images from the 2x2 outing to Sea Cliff Bridge for your critique. The weather made getting interesting colour images a challenge hence the black and white treatment on these. To see a larger version, just click the image.

Great images Peter!
Excellent leading lines and I like the B&W.
The clouds also help produce a dramatic effect (especially in the 2nd image) too! Nicely done.

Peter, I like the three images. However, the second image is the best because the sky has a lot of detail. You need to get somehow more detail in the sky of the other two pictures.

The leading lines and stormy sky in the second one make for a really good image. Nice work Peter.

I really like the second image, one for the reason zafra52 mentioned (sky detail) but also the perspective, the only thing I would have like to see would be a slightly higher viewpoint **, this would get that last bit of road in that curves away around the clif, finalising the viewers trip thru the image. HOWEVER, given that you were standing on the railings and even if you were on my shoulders it would probably be a big ask

Good spotting on the BW conversion, these are very nicely converted and appropriate for the day and the conditions! The first is great for the deep blacks and contrast, I would also try a pano style crop on it also, may 10% off the top and bottom?

** Peter at work...

#1 and #3 redone with the same treatment as #2 to give angrier clouds. Better or too dark?

Peter, I am really liking those reworks, the darker, angrier clouds add a lot to the images. That said I am not sure about the inclusion of the car in the third image.

Great B&W conversions!

Peter, I believe you nailed it. The re-worked images definetely improved them for me. As far as with or without the car, I guess it is a mater of choice. The one with the car gives a sense of scale missing in the the one without the car. The darker is moodier, as discussed above but just perfect as is.
