First, its a bit too big. See the forum rules above. It matters here as I can't see the whole picture at once (& I have a big monitor)
However, I think the main issue is the OOF branch cutting the photo in two near the top. I would crop on the branch (cut it in half!), so it becomes a frame rather than a distraction, or just below, so it is not there at all. Incidentally, I quite like the portion above the branch as a separate photo. In this case, crop just below the branch, so it becomes an underscore for the picture.

I agree with Mr Darcy. Crop under the fallen log (and maybe crop the twigs out of the bottom ...). I think I would prefer to see it in colour. I amagine it has pretty vivid greens etc around the water, which would give it the pickup it needs

Nice little location for some long exposure amusement.
Possibly the exposure was a little too long and the movement in the water has been overexposed.
I had a go at trying to bring some detail in the water back using recover in Lightroom and doing a little bit of burning in Photoshop. The stick at the bottom was a little distracting so I did a quick removal (and it shows). I probably could have worked on it a little more and got some better results. Apologies if you think i've butchered it.
