Blue Mountains Sunrise Shoot Mark II

Woke up this morning & there were stars in the sky :D
Grabbed the camera & tripod (& the trusty tripod bearer) and headed up to Sublime point again.
All were taken with the 100-300 AIS. EXIF reports 200mm, but this is the value in the manual lens data. First two were 300mm. The sisters were about 200mm

Yes Virginia there is a sunrise

This was about a minute BEFORE official sunrise. Not sure why. Perhaps altitude, non-ideal horizon, or perhaps Sunrise is defined as when the sun clears the horizon, rather than broaches it. Don't know.

Morning haze

And just for Andrew:
I darkened the background rocks and sky to throw the Sisters into greater relief

and unretouched

Just as we were leaving, another photographer was arriving.

You got some light at last! I quite like these. Perhaps this is why Adams produced only one good image per month.

These look a little soft but I assume it could be the resizing. I would like to see a sharper version though.

Kudos for getting there at 0610.
