I like these Matt, The first one is a standout, I have no idea why, but i did download it and had a play (please advise if you want it removed) and I really like it more now

The second image had me staring for a good 2 minutes...ands thats along time with my attention span

The final image is also great, the skyline, the bush and the campsite in the foreground make for one very tidy composition, what lens did you use for this one?

These images are really nice Matt. Very much in your style too. The Dark Alley is sublime.

Some great images there Matt. I really was captivated by the first two, they give the viewer enough of a hint to keep them interested.

#1 by a country kilometre. The processing is perfect. Yes it looks dark on my monitor and at that size, but printed large and as is there will be plenty of subtle detail and interest.

These are all outstanding images, Matt. And once again these show you have a flair for not only seeing the potential in subjects but the execution to pull them off.

Both the original dark alley and Gerry's reprocessing are great but are very different and convey a very different feel. Yours give a very dark feel and I would probably not be inclined to walk towards the end. Gerry's has a more "light at the end of the tunnel" feel and so it many ways is the complete opposite.

The last image had me just looking at all the detail but my eyes were drawn to the camp site. I'm not sure if that was because of the title or simply because it's the "non-natural" part of the image.

Matt the first is superb fine art. Love the way you counterposed the negative space with the subtlty provided by the barely lit alley.
You really could have a lot of fun experimenting with the various intensities of light cracking open that darkness. Even to the point of playing with the enhancment of the slithers of light down the right hand wall and floor of the alley. I could even see, dare i say it, the appearance of the cliched christian cross formed by a delicate play with the curves adjustments of the light streaks. Now I'm stretching it.

Either way inspired work work Matt. Love it!

Very nice collection Matt!!!

The first one just makes me want to go and explore the other side.

The second one is just fantastic, I would have just walked past it without noticing, but you captured it nicely.

It's the same with the third one simple but effective.

I find the 3rd one very funny. For me, the title could be "Three desk lamps biding their time" or so...

The opening in the black void (#1) is very intriguing, and must draw viewers in for all sorts of reasons. I also like the last one and the stories it tells. For some reason I'm fascinated by the grey streak in the tree tops

Number 2 makes me feel uneasy and reminds me of overdrawn parking meters...

The 3rd one made me think of the "Pixars" animations.

For some reason that I cant quite explain, the number 20 shot really appeals to me... love it.

Your ability to see, and to capture what you see, is simply amazing. The third one pretty well breaks every rule that we can think of, to the point that it's almost a photo of nothing in particular.

And yet it's brilliant to look at. How the hell does that work?
