Lightpainted Bike

Was impressed with Wink's work on his mates lightpainted Holden so I thought i'd try it out. I got very average results on my car, but it's a piece of junk. So I had a go at it on my bike.

The toughest part of this was removing the chair I used to prop it up. You can notice the spokes on the rear wheel are a little wack. Think i'll try something else to stand it up next time.

Does anyone have any suggestions on the sky? It probably needs a little bit of work.

C&C would be appreciated!

Nicely done!

I would select the sky and change the hue to either a dark red or a dark blue as this will contrast the green. You might be able to use a rope to tie the bike from two sides to prop it up. Less PP that way.

Looks good!

I try to take the shots so the sky is blocked out by something, a building, land mass etc.

I'm keen to try a Harley. I think all the chrome parts could make for a challenge.

I like it, and I think the sky in the deep red works, keeps the image interesting, if you go to a blue sky (a DARK blue) it becomes a bit too ordinary. Try it and see what you think. i would also suggest bringing in a bit more red out of the sky

Maybe crop the sky out and see how that looks. The bike is excellent.

Thanks surenj - I'll have a crack at going dark red / blue and see how it goes. I was heading towards the red but maybe a completely different colour might be a good look. I also trialled a broom setup that seems to work :)

Thanks - using a reasonably powerful maglite with a white sock on the end to diffuse.
At work, so these are what I remember.

A few variations as per aim54x's suggestions. Not bad, but I reckon the black. Anyone else?
