A friend from Red Bubble (http://www.redbubble.com/people/cliff) asked if he could rework one of my recent images of Ivory Flame...

I wasn't quite expecting this...

Image

I wish I had 10% of his Photoshop skills...

p.s. it certainly solves the problem of the tree growing out of the head eh Gary?

Wow that's a great transformation John. The great pose of the original photo still comes through. Did you know how long it took for him to do this?

WOW...that is a big transformation. I have to admit that it has made the image seem to have this magical quality about it.

John,

I cannot disagree with you on that point, but to be honest, I prefer the tree. :)

I can't help asking this question, with this degree of transformation, who gets the credit for this creation John or his friend?
Interesting result btw, reminds me of some custom spray paint jobs on panel vans I used to see when I was young. :)

The way that Cliff works is that he asks permission to use an image that he sees. He is then provided with a hi-res of the original and sends a hi-res of his creation back to the photographer. Both he and the photographer can then sell the image at the same price, so that there is equal chance of a sale. Each credits the other and links to their work.
Not sure where copyright sits, but I'm ok with that for a one-off...

I love it, I think it's taken the photo to a new level, and everyone has there own likes and dislikes, but I love the lighting captured in the image has been used simarly in this photoshop work. I think it looks fantastic. Kudos to your friend!! wish i had that kind of skill.
