Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Creativity (Slightly NSFW)A friend from Red Bubble (http://www.redbubble.com/people/cliff) asked if he could rework one of my recent images of Ivory Flame...
I wasn't quite expecting this... I wish I had 10% of his Photoshop skills... p.s. it certainly solves the problem of the tree growing out of the head eh Gary? Cheers, John

Re: Creativity (Slightly NSFW)Wow that's a great transformation John. The great pose of the original photo still comes through. Did you know how long it took for him to do this?
Re: Creativity (Slightly NSFW)Less than 2 days
Cheers, John

Re: Creativity (Slightly NSFW)WOW...that is a big transformation. I have to admit that it has made the image seem to have this magical quality about it.

John, I cannot disagree with you on that point, but to be honest, I prefer the tree. g.

Re: Creativity (Slightly NSFW)I can't help asking this question, with this degree of transformation, who gets the credit for this creation John or his friend?
Interesting result btw, reminds me of some custom spray paint jobs on panel vans I used to see when I was young. __________

Re: Creativity (Slightly NSFW)
The way that Cliff works is that he asks permission to use an image that he sees. He is then provided with a hi-res of the original and sends a hi-res of his creation back to the photographer. Both he and the photographer can then sell the image at the same price, so that there is equal chance of a sale. Each credits the other and links to their work. Not sure where copyright sits, but I'm ok with that for a one-off... Cheers, John
