The warm, rich tones in the wood make this a very nice image.

But I'm struggling to find where your point of focus is. There doesn't seem to be - to me - any one area where there is a really sharp area in the image. I suspect it may be the saddles on the bridge, but I cannot tell.

I'd like to see this reshot, but with greater depth of field, and perhaps a few different versions of it, trying different points of focus

I'm with gstark. Straight away my eyes went on the search for the focus point (possibly the pickup).
I'd also suggest shooting it again with a greater depth of field. With a bit of mucking around you could still blur the fret board but I would like to see the whole guitar in focus.

I would prefer the yellow specular highlight moved. It draws the eye towards it and it's placed in a non interesting area.

This is a difficult a subject to photograph as it's very reflective.

Bottom two look better. Would still prefer more DOF. The roof lights in the reflection are a bit of a distraction and although it is a nice warm, I might cool it a touch with some white balance to tweak the yellow tinge down.

Liking these axe pics though, so keep em coming.

The extra images are much better.

In the second, showing us the same image with a slightly wider field of view - to show us some more of the body below the tremolo arm but keeping everything else exactly as you have it - would be what I would be aiming to go for here.

Thanks gstark, it's a tough one due to its strong reflection of the lights, and yes its a ESP
