Last Wednesday I did a shoot with a beautiful lady friend who likes to be known as Sparrow. Here's a few images from what was a very productive and fun day.

Gary,

Your one lucky guy and I mean that in the way of finding a mature women to photograph and do nudes with is a rare find. Sparrow looks very comfortable in your company and she looks wonderfull. There is a big difference and I'm not talking about simple age gap thus appearance here in photographing young women v older women. In capturing a mature womens image it can tell so much more in that one image than that of a 100 images of a eighteen year old. You did well..... Congrats to you both...

Very nice work Gary...

I mean this in the nicest possible way - there's something you don't see very often :-) It's great to see someone who's prepared to brave the camera and show that beauty is not skin deep...

Great work there Gary, I like seeing you take a more active role in posting pictures.

As already said, you are a very lucky guy to find a mature woman that is willing to brave the camera.

Great stuff Gary!

I especially like the 4th for the composition which evokes some mystery. PS: Do I see a fill light as well as your beauty dish?

Great series Gary. Excellent lighting and great subject.

For me DSC 7513 in your portfolio stands out for me...

hi gary, nice to see you working the studio lights well.

I've come back to these shots a few times trying to find the words for how I saw this set... I like the variety, and warming expression (particularly suits the style without getting cheese cake like). So for me the nicest of the bunch in the gallery, is DSC 7320 1. Why? Well if I look broarder, the top 3 for me all had the red fabric out of view. so by process of elimination, I think its the red cloth that is not flattering to the lady's fair skin. in contrast, the blues and blacks work very well being complimentary to eye color, make up, and hair. The styling of the black hat with grey stitching, the earings and finger rings, silver/grey eye shadow all works very well. the blue blinds and red cloth perhaps replaced by a black cloth or fur. Given that feedback cant change these images made, perhaps a reduction in color pick saturation for the reds? In particular the red in the eyes. Just subtle adjustments would soften them nicely.

kind regards
Bruce

You should see some of the other images. Hmmm ... on second thought, perhaps it's best if you don't.

Now, I just need some Epson cyan so I can print a few. :(

Very nice fotographs. I hope she is able to sing as well as the French did. Now, I cannot get over her resemblance to the actress Emma Thompson.
