The only one that grabs me is the old jetty pilons Russell.

Looks like you had a long walk :cough:

I think the second one could be a winner, needs abit of love to bring out the light etc, did you do any PP on it?

A lot of interest in the first and would not have know it's origin - for some reason the patch of blue sky keeps distracting me so perhaps try a crop to revoe it ?
Like the second plenty of forground interest and the eye just want to follow the coastline to what I am guessing is the old pier . Be interested to see the light changes Biggery is suggesting
good to see you posting again

yes like it better - but still find the blue patch distracting
think #1 my favourite and it would make a great topic at dawn & sunrise as also suggested

Hi biggerry.

Can I ask what you did? Is it just the brightness you have adjusted?

Thanks

Quite nicely arranged photos, but would like to see them at sunset or a time you could add a bit of mood with some colour. Midday shots leave them a little lifeless for me.

aaahh man that was last night, i am struggling to remember what i had for breakfast...

All i did was use the d-lighting tool in NX2 (alternatively you can use levels and curves in any other program to achieve the same result) to bring out the light in the shadows, then tried to correct the colour cast/warmth (probably needs to be a bit cooler), added a bit of contrast, finally tried to darken the corners to get more attention to the main subject - the tree branch. As DebT pointed out the blue patch is distraction, i would work on removing/cropping it.

hth :cough: :cough:
