I had a bit of fun with the AI 135mm f/1.8 when I was in the shop today. Mounted on the D60 (so without metering) this lens makes for a very nice lightweight combination. Shooting at 800 ISO, f/2.8 and 1/100sec proved to do the trick for metering.

shame about the reflections

probably needs a bit more DOF

Cameron,

I assume that AI means no auto-focus or metering?

Looks like you are getting reasonable bokeh. It would be good to add some contrast in general.

I think composition-wise, these need to have the subject off center. #1 I would prefer the mouth to be excluded OR to be included completely.

No 2. How great is that DOF! nice shot and great old lens.

surenj... "In 1977 Nikon introduced a new system for coupling the lens to the cameras exposure system. This new coupling system was called "Automatic maximum aperture indexing" or "Ai" for short."
