These 2 pix's were taken about 20 minutes apart. Boats tend to move in tide areas
{info for some: to make image straight place computer magazine under left side of monitor}

Shot with D70 18-70 zoom with camera set to auto and raw. hand held, as to get my trusty gizto I would have missed the early light.

a vote for the second one here also... the first seems a little too dark, but may work in b&w?

These are both beautiful, however, I prefer the 2nd one also! The 1st is a bit too straight on, where as the 2nd with the boats at angle makes it more interesting. Lovely serene colours!
Now, which magazine would you suggest for tilting the monitor?

The 2nd one for me too, I think the lighting's just right. The 1st one seems a bit too 'ordered'.
Cheers

I research time where and what I shoot and on the move. as these boats pix's where done on the move and because of the rising sun I had no time to grab my tripod. I was at this location for other reasons

Big pix - I've noticed you recently arrived on these forums and have had a big image posting frenzy. These would have to be among the best of them IMO. The colours in both are breathtaking. The second one is just... wow!

BigPix, I like the way you think. I used MacAddict magazine. Seems to give about the right slant on things. Before that the water was leaking out the side of my monitor so couldn't view the image for very long at a time.

thankyou ....... I only found this site a little while ago, and thanks to other members I now know how to post my pix's. I will be setting up a web site later in the year so keep an eye out for that one, there are lots more pix's to post but do want to fill up the forum to much.
cheers Big Pix
Edit: have a look at a post "I could do with one of these"
