tulip

I took this week's picture last Sunday, sadly the flower
is not more for it withered and went to flower heaven.
I was trying different apertures to blur the background
and make it compliment the subject.
You'd be the judge if I succeeded.

I think you have pretty much succseeded with this. The depth of field suits the subject and the b/g is clean and without distraction from the bloom. Exquisite colour too, tulips don't grow too well in these parts.

Maybe you could try cloning out the tiny black dots from the petals.

agree with wink, this beautiful soft delicate flower would look so much nicer without the insect bites

The blank spots is in fact the pollen of the flower. I thought of removing the black dots, but then again I quite liked the inperfection.

Zafra, I suggest trying different placement of the tulip within the frame. Maybe include a little more negative space.
