Critique welcome - helps me improve

Hi Chris,
Someone once said it's hard to improve on perfection. Lovely shot, I can't really critique it, as I think it's great. Keep them coming champ!

Chris very very vogue.........but I took the libity of re croping your image {sorry}.Also if you try this it will give you a different look, overall lighten to blow out the background a bit and add contrast more like a pencil drawing with a little tone

My comments on your suggestions, and looking at your repost side-by-side with the original, is as follows:

The reasoning behind the use of 12mm was to produce a vanishing point accentuated by shooting low into the subject which I feel has been lost in the repost by you having straightened the left hand side to be parallel to the edge.

I agree to the crop and now realise that some light painting into the statuette would have made a more powerfull impact, but not overkill so as to keep some of the mystery.

Yeah, Chris - that's how I see it too. I think the vanishing point is important, and a little reflected light at the front may have created a bit more depth to the statue.
