It's been a while since I've posted some images, so I thought I'd post some from a recent wedding I shot in Manly. Comments/critique welcomed:

These were shot with the Nikon 24-70 2.8 and D700.

These are really nice- especially that they are a little different to the normal wedding fare. You've gone to some effort with the backgrounds which all look great. I keep coming back to image 1- it's a really interesting concept. I wonder if it would have looked even better a little further down the lane where the distracting window, power lines etc would have disappeared. Number 2 is really lovely.

Geoff, very nice images. I love the use of that wall, which I presume is on the corner of Little Bower St & the pathway to Shelley Beach?

Thanks guys for the comments.
Ian - I get exactly what you're saying re the powerlines and it would've been better a little further up, however the driver had parked the car, and being a busy Saturday (hot Spring) afternoon, there were a LOT of people around, with wedding location time constraints I had to work with what I had there and then. I can quite easily clone out the power lines I guess. I do make a real effort to consider the backgrounds and different angles, a challenge at times but I love it.

Patrick - you guessed the spot in one :) The texture of the wall really appealed to me.

I think the couple should be more than happy with these. Where is the fill light coming from in the 3#? reflector?

Some of them look a tad soft but I assume this is because of forum resizing.

Great Shots Geoff

I love the 2nd and agree about the power lines in the first - removal should make a fantastic shot

Thanks guys.

Surenj - they are a TAD soft, but I have really downsized them and made them quite low res for the forum, having said that a slight sharpen is probably necessary, particularly on the 2nd last image. The 'fill' was simly from the SB800, and a mild vignette has been applied to help 'light' the subjects.

I will clone out the powerlines, great suggestion.
