I had strawberries in the fridge and the song randomly stuck in my head, so before making a smoothie, I took a few photos before a thirst-quenching end

Nice concept but I feel it needs more DOF especially in the first shot which has nice composition.

And more DoF too in the second.

Also, I find the highlights a bit too blown

I tend to agree about the highlights, however I like the DOF in #2 and #3. In #1 I think it could be a little deeper, but no too much. Just enough to get that front strawberry crisp from front to back then dropping of over the rest of them.

Hope the smoothie was good

Like the colour and layout in #1 & #2. More DOF needed though to make it pop.

I find the blown highlights though distracting.

Hmmm I checked the histogram and it didn't come up with any blown highlights.

I also would like to see more DOF. I don't think the highlight's are 'blown' per se, but find them a bit strong/distracting.

The inclusion of the knife and chopped berry was a good compositional idea in #2
