A few from my couple of days in Venice. Crazy place, but a great introduction to Italian Pizza!

Quite like #1 - Gondola rides are classic Venician photo fodder but your angle and POV is quite good

Edit -
But maybe a small straighten to make the bridge level on the horizon?

I agree. You must have been perched on another bridge to take this shot. Otherwise a lower POV would be better but then you'd have to be swimming in that beautiful blue water.
I found the gondola rides very expensive what with the conversion factor of 2 and all.

I also like #2 with the symmetry and assymetry. Classic scene with the push bike.

Steve,

Being Venice, the image may even need to be tilted slightly in the opposite direction to render the scene accurately. :)

Thanks for the comments all.

I had a look after you suggested that and thought you may be right, but the more I look at it the more I think I might agree with Gary! I will have a tweak and see what looks better, but it seems to me no mater which way I rotate it, something is going to be wrong. Well, look wrong.

Indeed I was. I hung out in this spot and took a lot of shots, but this is my favourite. I had planned on returning at night with a tripod but never made it sadly. Swimming I think I'll leave to someone else!

As did I! Not having a significant other with me on the trip, I was not at all tempted to take a ride.

Thanks! These were both on the Island of Burano. I would definitely recommend anyone going to Venice to head out there. Very similar architecture but less people, and if you wander a bit you can actually find quiet areas where people live. Really good experience.
