Cut in its prime

I took this week's picture a few weeks ago. At the time, I was interested
in the pattern and intricate design of the subject. I remember looking at
it and thinking how often we overlook the natural wonders around us.

I like the concept, but I would concentrate more of the focus on the 'curtians' of the mushroom, mainly since that is where my eyes are drawn too, however that is just me
I think the texture and lines of the 'curtians' is great and it was definitely good spotting! Do oyu have any variations on this one?

I don't like the untidy look of the mushroom. Perhaps as Gerry suggests, isolate the fins and make it abstract?

I have have had a few looks at this, and think that you have captured the mushroom very nicely, however that overexposed LHS really needs to go....maybe a square crop?

I like the square crop! Now you need two more veges in square crop for a kitchen triptych or three wrap around canvas prints.

sorry to be different but I rather like the use of white (blank) space in the origional and the less than perfect shape agree that focus on the fins needs to be spot on.
Thanks for reminiding me that the everyday items can be really interesting
