A now disused rail line.

very nice work there...any chance of extracting a bit of colour and detail from that sky?

I like the way the rails lead you into the image and into the distance

Agree with cameron re clouds.

Maybe a BW conversion on this one?

I feel that not enough of the rails have been captured. Slightly cramped if you know what I mean.

BW conversion!  a bit wider may have helped - but I am interested in seeing a contrasty BW version.

OK here is a B&W conversion which has brought out a little more detail in the sky. I am not 100% happy with the conversion as it is but when I have the time will have another go.

Geoff,

Beautiful conversion, and you have retained some wonderful fine details in this image: the grass, the rocks, the grain on the wooden sleepers ....

Did you add the vignetting that I'm seeing here? I think I'd prefer this image without it.

Holy carp! Poetry in motion. This is a brilliant rework indeed. I even like the vignette but back off slightly on that perhaps as Gary suggests.
