thanks mate.
no special techniques here, just a very special lens.

you know what my dumb ass just figured out...if i dialled in -2EV i could then have dropped my shutter by 2 stops. that would have got me down to 1/250s which would have given me alot more motion. that woulda worked right ?

These things aren't easy to capture at speed.
Some relation to the movement would've made them perfect. Could probably blur it with PS.

Wow..... that is a magical lens.

I really like the B&W conversion that you have done on the third image...and all that rubber just leads you into the iamge

Chris,

The second of these images, for an image showing a champion, is just great. It shows a measure of distance between the winner and the next competitor, with great use of DoF as well.

Colour and exposure is great too.

All very tidy images chris with the second and third as standouts for me, i do wish they cars were something other than pink... :violin: Good to see you getting some quality use outta that new lens..

I agree. The second and third images are the best of this set. It certaily looks a very nice lens.
