While waiting for the V8 race to start, I manage to take a few shots of the freestyle motorcross spectacular that was happening during the day. I was in awe at the stunts they were doing.

Thanks guys. It was my first time out with my new D700. Its definately a whole different class of its own compared to the DX cameras. It's an awesome camera. Initially I was worried the lens wouldn't be long enough.

Nice shots Scooby. Were you close to the action, or did you use a whopping big lens, or did you crop heavily? Interesting to see how you took these with the FF camera.

It was held in the Sydney Showground. I was in the back of the ground level stands. I brought a sigma 120-300mm lens. I was suprised all I was asked at the front gates was "Is that a professional lens?"... hehehe.. naturally I replied.. "no.. 'I'm just an amatuer"

I didn't have to crop much of the images but some levelling was needed though.

"It's a Sigma".

:biglaugh:

What, seriously, is a "professional lens"? Would that be one that goes out and works in a doctor's office perhaps?
