Hello all, i really appreciate your CC on the photo of my hubby and I, and i've made the changes that were suggested with that photo to the photo's i had previously posted of my kids, i have then combined them into one image, which i love. i must say any photo with my kids in it i love, but any cc on how i can improve on this i would love to know. I am giving this to my mother in law for christmas so i want it to be perfect. thanks.

Kristen,

Beautifully done!

I would increase the brightness in the 3rd child (on the right). Perhaps take the bag out of the #1's eyes. These are minor niggles.

Love the light, presentation and the mood created by these.

Maybe its my monitor but I would definitely add a little more light (curves?) on all of them especially the last as they look a tad dark from here.. really good shots though your mother in law will love them! :)
The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list... ;)

I agree with Sue, these all appear underexposed on my (calibrated) monitor. The edges of all three children disappear into the background.

What software are you using for post processing? I use Lightroom and I would just bump up the Fill Light.

:agree:

The light on the 2 girls needs to be increased.

Kristen, If you not sure how to get the correct contrast and bags under eyes etc, I am happy to help. Be warned that I have an uncalibrated monitor and my previous prints have come out looking too dark as well!!

The bags under eyes can be a difficult edit to do realistically. You will need to process with different exposures, then try to blend in PS. OR just use the same picture and use curves with different masks etc...
