Went out last night and took some shots of a local resturant. Not really happy with any of the results, but this is probably the best of the lot which I have processed in three different ways. What do you think? Do any of them work?

I like the colour in the first, and the cloud(?) trails in the last - but they all appear a little overblown to me.

Also, the light just below the A pulls the eye to it too much

Possible bring back the exposure just slightly

The first is the best for me. The color is better compared to the other two.

I like the idea of the last one.
The colours look best in the first would be nice to have the effect you created on the last with the same colours from the first Image.

The 'trails' in the sky are in fact flare from that spotlight under the 'A' if you look closely you can see the same effect on the lower part of the image too. I will try and make this more prominent in the first image.

I have re-processed the first to try and emphasise the streaks in the sky. Any better?

I prefer the first one the others look a bit overdone.

I like the rework, but would try and get rid of or at least tone down the floodlight - it draws attention to it too much

Thanks Tom. I have tried to tone down the floodlight but my PS skillls have failed me

HI Geoff just copy Layer to give you a fresh platform
use the polyganal selection tool with 2px brush size
select paint brush at approx 80px select grey for your colour and press #2-- this sete 20 pecent opacity
then dob over the light this will give you a progressive darkening --use controlz on a pc to go back 1 application at a time
There are many other ways to achieve this but this should work

HI Geoff I had second thoughts and think just clone the spot light out alltogether--I did this and think it helps I am happy to post this if you want but it shold be easy enough for you to do--cheers jim

HI Geoff this is just a quick effort and there is still a small amount of flare in the surrounds but esy to fix by you if this is an improvement--jim
