Auto guiding is a goI have returned from my holiday up in Far North Queensland and have had a chance to try out the new auto guiding camera for my setup. I am pleased to report that I am happy with how it works and shall be doing an extensive imaging run this Wednesday assuming the weather predictions are correct for Adelaide. Here is a teaser from the testing night which was a pleasant 36 degrees after a 42 degree day!

Re: Auto guiding is a go
stars? what stars?? Seriously There is some amazing detail on this one. Without knowing anything about this stuff, it looks slightly overexposed? or maybe not??

Re: Auto guiding is a goNope not over exposed just a friggen lot of light from all the stars that are really up there. One of the issues with going long is you start to become over whelmed with star light. There are over a 100 billion stars just in our galaxy alone and some say may be as many as 400 billion. From a dark site you can see about 2 thousand at any one time with the naked eye. Starting to get the picture?
