That sunset it bloody spectacular!
The colours are so vibrant and I love the fall off from left to right. I also love the texture of the clouds and the sand that add some more interest. Really nice shot, and well composed given the lack of apparent objects of interest in the area.

Great drama you have captured with the sunset! Clever composition to make it even stronger. Nicely done.

i also prefer sunset than sunrise. it last longer and more brilliant colors. also difficult to get up at dawn.

These are both really lovely images - beautiful colours and great composition. Where were they taken?

Very nice work there Jenno, the colours you have captured are wonderful. These are really beautiful examples of the prime time during the day!

These are both great Jenno but I prefer the colours of sunrise in this case.
The old pilons are also an interessting feature.

These are both great images. I think the sunrise suffers when adjacent to the saturated reds of the sunset, but looked at in isolation is a more interesting image than the sunset because of the row of old pylons. My only nitpick with both (since I'm a neat and in the middle guy
) is that both are weakened a little because the eye is drawn to the extreme right and extreme left edge respectively of the two images.

.
good balance actually. streak of clouds and poles compensated the mass of bright sunlight at the right. colors blue - yellow orange are almost complimentary.

Where were they taken?
Sunrise was the old pier at Bridport Tasmania whilst the Sunset was at Ocean Beach near Strahan as a cold and wet front was approaching
what gear did you use to take these shots?
Nikon D700
24-70 AFS 2.8 lens @32mm
f22 1/5sec
ISO 200
all firmly attached to a Benro tripod.
Lee Grad filter

Both brilliant photos!
I think the sunrise one would work even better if you cut some off the top and turned it into a longer pano.
