I took the butterfly picture with a flash but somehow the image has a
cut-out effect so after seeing the Kaliedoscopic posting by Wendellt, it
occurred to me that there was still hope, what do you think?

zafra52, i reckon this would work with or without the effect, that said, the symmetry adds another dimension to the image and is quite pleasing. The lighting is a bit harsh in some spots but nothing I would be worried about.

These would work well as a gift card cover for an appropriately themed organisation

well done, i like it, although the kaliedsopic effect works better if you shoot centre subject in the corner

Thank you for your comments.

I was after the challenge of being able to obtain something interesting to the eye with
the picture I had, which has a cut-out effect because of the flash light. Then I saw your kaliedsopic effect
and you gave me the idea of doing something similar. That's why I called your work inspirational!
I chose a symetrical effect partly because of my limited knowledge in Photoshop and because I don't have
the physical resources to do it that way.
