Something is bugging meWe had a couple of Monarch Wanderer pupae for my daughter to watch. She got to see them break out and pump up their wings. Awsome for a three year old to see.
They even allowed her to handle them gently. I also was chasing dragonflies on dusk a couple of days later...... I think the butterflies would have been better with a blue backdrop. Regards Colin

Re: Something is bugging meI agree that the butterfly would be better on a different background, but these look great.
I want to stalk dragonflies again....maybe it is time to set the alarm clock and pay the Botanic Gardens another early morning visit. Cameron

Re: Something is bugging meLove that second one colin, talk about capturing the moment of birth (or is it rebirth..) I don't mind the backgrounds... it works well in the second shot anyway!
Where was the dragonfly shot taken? gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Something is bugging me
and I like the color scheme.
Good question. Do waterlilies grow in cold areas?
Re: Something is bugging meThanks gents,
It easier to take pics of butterflies when they can not fly away. The dragonfly is in my back yard. The water lilies are actually "Nardoo" or Marselia. A native water fern. It has tollerated very cold conditions up here. But to answer you question Surenj, waterlilies will grow in quite cool areas depending upon species. There is a large pond of them at Faulconbridge right on the side of the highway. Regards Colin

Re: Something is bugging meThe detail in the second one is fantastic!
I'll try to be a bit nicer, if you try to be a bit smarter.
