Sean Very good pix's .......... try re-cropping for a different visual on the bird pix,s, will not appeal to all but may help. Good cropping to a much loved pooch, 1st bird re-crop and place a little to the right or crop to a vertical, it is a pix of a bird not a pix of trees, 2nd crop to landscape leaving the bird way left and loose a bit of the trees top and bottom maybe a square even, this image could be a bit lighter.

just trying to get the best out of good shots, cropping is a very important part of photography so when is PS try different crops and pick the one most pleasing to you or makes what you have photographed stand out

Sean, Great Colour! There's something about number 3 that I find surreal, the tones are really rich. Great Stuff!

Sean - The pic of the dog is classic - nice composition and to get him/her asleep is a nice touch.

The third pic is my favourite and although I am usually the first to say lighten or improve contrast I would leave this pic exactly as is - it reminds me very much of a poster on dpreview who has been mentioned on this forum and goes by the name of Nowhereatoll. It has a quality to it that remind me of classic French painters - well done :D
