I love this shot!!
It has a quintiessential Aussie feel to it and the light, use of space, clouds and leading lines all equate to a beautifully executed photograph. Well done norwest!!

as a suggestion i would crop the image so the flowers are right in the middle

I would like to see this image shot from just a little more towards the right, with the plant placed pretty much in the lh corner, and more of the roadway from the centre to the bottom rh corner. Keep the same vertical view, however.

Great light to shoot with too. Really brings out the colour of the flowers and contrasting sky. Lovely!!

I do agree with other comments about the composition. It could have been framed a little better. But maybe play around with different crops to see how it balances differently.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I personally agree with Gary re improving the composition and will attempt to do it if the conditions return before the flowers are burned to a crisp. It only needs a shift to the right of a couple of mtrs. I aimed to go out again tonight, but the sky was clloudless as it is on most days. Possible thunderstorms are forecast for the next few days, so if it's true to form, that only means possible cloud. So, I might get the chance yet.

This is a north west aspect, shot about 20 mins. earlier. The first shot is northern aspect.
A little too early for the golden light

Sublime colours in the first and if a re-shoot is possible I would like to see the base of the sunflowers included

Well, I went out again last night and my subject was somewhat bedraggled after a windstorm the previous night. I tried So I've cropped a previous image shot from a lower aspect than the first posted image, that gets closer to what I wanted.

A few months ago I posted an image and challenged DSLR members to see what they would do with the image. Is there any chance you could do that with this image. I like the subject so much i'd like to have a go at post-processing it myself. If you want to of course.

Great image. Love the look and feel you have created. Well spotted
Lots of compositional variations have been suggested that would, in most cases, equally give a strong image.

If there is the interest, certainly. Seeing the differing post-processing perspectives through the eyes of others is always interesting.

I think I prefer the first one.
