With the Zoo staying open until 7.00pm for this month it provides opportunities to be creative with the light and see some different animal behaviour.

All lovely. They each have such unique expressions. The first one is an angry looking critter. :)

They're so clear. I was really struggling in those dim areas.
Great captures, particularly the first.

I love the last of these. It's a very different portrait of the king.

The King was in trouble with his health for a long time. At one stage they thought they may have to put him down but they seem to have had success with his medication. He suffers from epilipsy and as such leads an isoalted life which is very hard for a male lion. I wish he could get better so that we ccould see him and the two females together. The keepers are concerned that if he has another seizure and the dominant female is in with him she will attack him like last time.

I really like the Flamingo, a very differnt look, and very special light.

It is nice to be able to access the zoo at these later times...

Reminds me of a lady I once dated. :)

Thanks for the extra information about this cat. it's wonderful to be appraised of some of the background of these animals.

The more I look at this image, the more I like it.
