Marching Gums

Took these two shots along the Wiseman's Ferry Rd on the (long) way to Sydney from Newcastle which is a really scenic drive if you have the time.

Love that whole area in and around Wisemans Ferry, St Albans etc..

I LOVE the leading lines...but I always am a sucker for them. The contrasting colour in the half-barks provide a lot of interest as well. To be pernickety, I'd prefer it without the pile of branches or mower. Maybe it would be too simple, but then again I am a simple gal!

I've thought about trying to capture something similar in the state pine forests up here, but have never gotten off my @ss to do it myself....:roll:

Both nice shots Peter, both have a story to tell with the pile of wood or the mower, you have also controlled the exposure nicely here, especially since it could have been a shadowy mess! :rotfl2:

I assume its not plantation? the trees look sort of pruned, but not quite... :?:
