2nd day at Rio carnival
since im only 1 photographer running up and down the strip from the start of the parade to the end at the tv tower whilst dodging thousands of people lugging heavy equipment in the heat made me drink about 10 coca colas. Each night the parades start from 8pm till 5am in the morning and i have to edit so my day is spent sleeping

I really like the last one, great effect. All others are great too, just hard to pick one. Not even any shake in your photos, given all the caffeine you are ingesting ;)

thanks for taking the time to post these here,

cheers,

André

WTF  .....My jaw just dislocated itself looking at that last one.. HOW ON EARTH did you get that effect? slow shutter with 2nd curtain flash?

oh, and out of curiousity... are these post processed in any way? ie. whitebalance, tones etc ?

Who would have thought when we first met you that a few years later you WOULD be following your dream, and travelling the world capturing such great moments :)

I've said it before, and no doubt this won't be the last time I say it to you Wendall, you are an inspiration to us all - not just in you photography, but moreso in your determination to follow your dream :)

Great shots mate - love seeing your work :)

i used the 200-400 vr on, i focused at 400mm then quickly zoomed out to about 350mm hence the zoom effect
shutterspeed was around 10th sec f5 iso on the d3 level -1.0

i didnt do any post processing on these because these are press mages, apart from the simple curves adjustment
highlight high shadows low i dont touch the midtones

i shot at iso 1600 throughout(stadium) lighting

thankyou for all your comments, it's much appreciated

sheepie, i do live my dream and i have many more projects on my my bucketlist
