Feels like I am photographing the Opera house!

Apparently Warners Bay is quite photographed at sunset! I am lacking inspiration these days and wanted to create a few different moods by using different colour schemes and contrasts. Your C&C is always appreciated on any aspect of these images.

I think in the first two images you have demonstrated that the correct use of the shutter speed is paramount, imo the second image is very nice, did you think to lightpaint that couple?

The final image is quite nicely processed also - i would however just backoff the vignetting, just slightly, also if it had that couple in there it would be a premo shot!

I personally like the second one of the lot.. the silky smooth water combined with that orange + blue something something...

WHO CARES! THEY LOOK GREAT!

The last image doesn't quite work for me... It's just the composition, colors, contrast and tinting work for me though. =)

The 2nd looks great....maybe try the last shot with a longer focal length for compression...good concept but it is missing soemthing atm

#2 is the pick of the bunch here for me, that slower shutter really gives things a much nicer feel to them. The colour is good and I like the lines of the jetty in the composition. I like the blue, pink, blue symmetry, and the way the land and the jetty both fade from right to left in terms of size in the frame. The vignetting here works as well, giving the sense of fading light.


#3 I'm not a fan of the processing. I think either the vignetting needs to be backed off, or it needs to be evened up top to bottom as it look s rather bottom heavy at the moment. I think compositionally it lacks something as well, great leading lines but they just don't lead the eye anywhere. Perhaps the same when there is a splash of colour in the clouds at the end of the jetty, or as mentioned some human subjects on the jetty.

As the others have said about #2 but overall I think the use of a ND filter would have helped.
