A Little More Light

I was a bit closer than BigV, so here are my shots from the "A Little More Light" pyrotechnic display by Group F, part of the Adelaide Festival. I like shooting fireworks so braved the crowds (about 70,000) to go along.

18mm is not really wide enough to catch the high stuff. They do like a bit of flame...

A bit too bright, but you can see one of the performers at the bottom centre.

A few more shots on smugmug.

Thanks all.

This was the first time I've really used a (wired) trigger release. It certainly makes taking fireworks more enjoyable.

No problem. There was quite a crowd...

I actually don't remember it being that loud, but afterwards my ears were ringing.
There were a few organisational things that were disappointing but overall it was a good display.

Nice shots in what must have been
difficult circumstances.

Thanks. It actually wasn't that bad. I picked out a reasonable spot, and the rest is luck.

Thank you. Before it started I was wondering if it would be worth it, the yellow-shirts were hassling people with tripods. But it turned out well.
