Beyond the Black StumpWent down to the river hoping for a sunset which wasn't forthcoming.
Had found this weathered stump for some foreground interest and took a couple of shots. Comments welcome Bob

Re: Beyond the Black StumpReally like the lighting in this one, Bob.
There are so many different shades of sunlight. Great composition too. Alex
Re: Beyond the Black StumpI love this shot Bob, the lighting on the stump makes it look like it has been polished..
Can you tell us where it is??? Baz Live well, laugh often, love much..
Re: Beyond the Black StumpThanks for the comments.
Baz Ii's on the Maroochy River along Fisherman's Road near the boatramp. A little awkward to frame it up due to surrounding mangroves, rocks etc which are a bit messy. Bob

Re: Beyond the Black Stump
....... gumboots are the answer Bob.... BTW nice image, would have liked to have seen the sky a bit darker Cheers ....bp....
Difference between a good street photographer and a great street photographer.... Removing objects that do not belong... happy for the comments, but .....Please DO NOT edit my image..... http://bigpix.smugmug.com Forever changing
Re: Beyond the Black StumpApart from the haloing (JPG artifact?) and the effect of the graduated filter which can be seen, I like your composition and the bluish light on the log.
Re: Beyond the Black StumpI like it. However, I feel it would have worked even
better if the foliage on the left wasn't there and you had allow more water to the right. I like the colours, the sharpness and the tranquility of the scene that you captured so well.
