Easter Show PerformerThese shots were taken of a young performer at the Royal Easter Show. She is a member of the Talent Advancement Program that I work with. She's such a pleasure to shoot as she gives 100% then gives more.
Whaddyathink? Go on, be brutal, I can take it! and again... (this is the one I really like)
Re: Easter Show PerformerHi Ian =D
Great timing I must say, and exposure to me looks great too. My critique lies on your composition. The second image looks great in the time it was taken, but to me theres too much negative space above her. Maybe try a landscape orientation, thats a tight crop to her face, hair and microphone? All in all, you've got timing. =) Canon | Sony | Panasonic | Tamron | Sigma
My photography is still developing. Don't be so negative! http://www.photomarcs.com
Re: Easter Show PerformerBoth shots are great. The only thing that I find distracting is the purple light on the second shot. Cropping the image to remove it would improve I think - even with that negative space above her. Gives the impression that she is on a big stage. However, doing what photomarcs suggests also works!!! Two very different photos, both showing something a little different, from the same photo.
Canon 60D, 50 1.8, 24-105L IS, 100-400L IS, Sigma 10-20mm etc
I'd put something witty here, but I just can't think of anything....
Re: Easter Show PerformerThanks for the advice- I'll have a play with number two and try tightening up the crop.
Thanks Ian
