West Head 2x2: FlowersSome flowers from the walk. All shots taken with D300 and Nikkor 60mm f/2.8D, SB-800 and DIY collapsible softbox.
Fuchsia heath, Epacris longiflora Mountain devil, Lambertia formosa Wax flower, Leptospermum sp.
Re: West Head 2x2: FlowersReally nailed the focus which is a fair achievement given that slight breeze that seemed to crop up whenever you stopped to take a pic
Re: West Head 2x2: FlowersLove #1. Nice DOF, color and composition. Good to see some Macro junkies doing their thing on this walk.
Re: West Head 2x2: Flowers
a whosy-what? hey but nice picture I noticed with my shots of the bell flower, getting the white part to 'appear' in focus was quite difficult, whilst the red portion was sharp, I found the white portion in mine just looked crap. Nonetheless, I think you have done very nicely here - that softbox is working a charm for you too also.. The remaining two images are also very good, just what you would expect from a flower identification book I think thats a compliment too Last edited by biggerry on Mon Apr 12, 2010 9:56 pm, edited 1 time in total.
