The image really works well for me

The expressions from the face and hands really pops. Great action shot.

Only aspect that I find distracting is the overlapping text. Perhaps the overlapping portions could be darker so that 'PHFC' appears to be sitting on top.

Great work.

I think it's excellent! Also, I think the overlapping text is required as it improves the composition. It keeps pulling the eye back which encourages the viewer to look again. Bloody good job! If anything, I would like to see just a touch of warmth put back into the skin tones.

Depends on what is going to be used for..

The overall frame has a slight 'lack of contrast' look, which I think matches the original image processing, however the text and the heading really needs to be bold and in your face. The way you have placed the heading behind the head and ball works very well in getting that 3d look, I would however, consider removing any transparency from the heading to really make it bold.

You also need a catch phrase for the poster imo - maybe something like teh title of of your image "Intense Football' or " be there to see intense football'. This could be placed just near the ball since this is immendiately where the eye heads to when looking at the image.

Also when considering the shadowing of teh text, use a colour which makes it standout more, in this case you have used black, maybe white or light grey migth work better.
Also consider making your logo transparent or embossed? you want it to be noticed but not standout liek dog balls..

All in all its a damn fine image which carrys the poster - with a bit of work (plus barcode and sponsers) i reckon it could be turned into a real pro looking number...

all to be taken with a grain of salt since I really have no idea about graphic design :cough:

Thanks, all good ideas

Its purpose is to add a bit of colour to the clubhouse walls, hopefully advertise their games onsite, and also to remind everyone of a photographer hoping to do well this season

Overall the poster works extremely well.

The contentious item is the heading. The colour is too insipid and the overlay producing the bright yellow, is a no go. The font used is excellent, a nice condensed sans serif. BTW, I am a Graphic Designer
