The Glorious Dead

Anzac day means something different to everyone given their experience, I wish I could know what is going thru some of the veteran's minds on this day!

Plenty of cliche shots, but I had fun and it was something different to go there and take some images. Very cloudy and rainy but that certianly did not stop the armies of photographers coming out...

Great shots gerry - had I not been working I would've enjoyed coming along to this 'meet'.
My two faves are #'2 and #4.
Well done.

yeah it's making it all a bit easy when compared to my old 100-300mm f5.6.

That said I still had a few OOF images, but considering how dark it was at one stage that is not surprising.

Good to catch up and see that 400mm in action

I like 2

ta, this was the style of shot I was trying to get, but I feel I did not quite get there. I was looking for that line of Veterans all with medals showing and having just one isolated and in focus. Even those these old guys move pretty slow nowadays it was still hard to this kind of shot

#2 and #4 are both crackers. Both of them are telling quite different stories, but stories that are unique to the day and the people that have fought for us.

Brilliant contrast on these series Gerry! Really love the expression on #2. You have captured some great emotion. These are worthy of publication.
