Something a bit different for me (not family, and not sport !!)

First run of proofs for a portrait session in the weekend

Watch out for those blown highlights on her top. #1 looks like it could be a tad sharper and the exposure pulled back a bit. #2 looks great. I dont like the harshness of the flash in #3, maybe gelled and powered down. #4 is looking good.

Great to see you trying different things

I don't know how you processed #2 but I love the effect! I'd love to know the technique as would many other forum members. Just a quick tip....when doing portraits avoiding white clothing is often a good idea as it can dominate the image. There are exceptions to the rule but your first image would have looked better with a patterned or red or yellow top.

Hi Matt, sorry for the late reply, been in Moresby this week ( )

I did this in LR with a preset called Centre Stage, not sure that helps. But it really suits this sort of work. Im not sure how to replicate the same split toning in CS4

Re the whirt shirt - thansk - I have pulled the exposure back a bit on #1 and the shirt's OK (I did ask them not to wear white shirts prior too)
