Hi Bob,
My only comment on both these (two Gecko photos) is that I would prefer a greater DOF.

Also They are both distinguished, in their name at least, by their tails, but we can't see them. I would be happier if this one was a golden eyed gecko :| I do like the way you placed the light over the "devil" iris

the stunning background makes the shot pop right out of the screen.

I think the use of DOF in this image really focuses the viewer on that amazing eye, which I am sure just blinked at me while I was looking at it. :) Tack sharp too. I just love the detail.

I agree that the DOF is spot on, but then the fact that it is a golden tailed gecko and you can't see that leaves me wondering what the rest of it is. However it is still a great shot :cheers:
