in Clovelly beach at 0530.

Next time we will need to learn a bit about the tides and how to use that to our advantage. Does anyone have any advice on this?

I had too much flare on my bracketed shots that I couldn't do any photomatic HDR. So most of these are combined exposures.

Otherwise here is a selection from the morning for your C & C as usual. Thanks for looking.

Great images all round. I do like the sillouette in the first. Not sure about tides though. Should be easy to find the info about tides etc.

horizons are all straight

a very nice set of images, I much prefer the 'cooler' look on these types of scenes (1 and 4), I guess it goes with the seascape more imo.

That first image is excellent, just shows a single exposure image with the right composition can really ring a bell! plus it has one awesome model there too. Its a shame you did not have a long lens to get a silhouette !

nice work with the birdies too, i was wondering how they would turn out!

#4 is a cropped version, is it cropped from the bottom? I get drawn to that brillant white of the waves and I am left with wanting more!

All thos eimages have very good composition and you cannot go wrong with that.

Hmm..interesting. I tried the cooler look but didn't really like it. Will have another look.

It's interesting how 1/30 shutter can capture them! #2 I cheated a bit and took the birds from another frame of the same scene. so it's actually 4 photo composite rather than HDR.

I am glad you were co0operative enough to stay still for 30 seconds... I reckon we take radios next time and position our models. Perhaps also get a red jacket....

It's about 30% crop but the bottom is just black so I didn't have much of a choice. I wasn't so sure about that image as well. I just couldn't make myself throw it because the birds are nearly perfectly positioned!

after looking at it a third time, I reckon the image is pretty well perfect as it is...it is really starting to grow on me

I'd have to say that the 4th is my fav of all of them, I keep going back to it Great job.
