Re: Project - Brides #3This is my favourite set of the series so far. Lovely images
#2 The wooden legs are a little distracting and I cant help but wonder what her veil is caught onl D90 | D50 | Tamron 17-50 2.8| AF-S 18-55 DX (and VR) | Sigma 70 - 300 APO DG | 50mm 1.8 | SB-600
Re: Project - Brides #3The images to me seem to indicate that you got a beautiful location and a beautiful model/bride....but you just didn't know what to do with her. The poses seem forced and awkward and don't compliment the subject in her environment. The composition in image #2 is very awkward with the veil leading the eye directly out of the image space. I would have liked to have seen her more animated...perhaps twirling or dancing or running. There should have been more of a narrative or story. Why is she in the woods? Perhaps some other props...a bottle of bubbly or a borzoi dog or a bouquet of flowers would have helped lift them up?

Re: Project - Brides #3i like your aesthetic taste and the execution of the images
although i think the first one is the only one with real value because from her expression and other contextual clues like the forrest it portrays a sense of wonderment, the emotion of this image makes it the best i feel though the others are just derrivates of the concept well done anyway Wendell Levi Teodoro

Re: Project - Brides #3Pretty amazing location, light etc!
As already mentioned, the wooden leg is a little distracting but wow! Great quality images. How many assistants do you have? What time of day is this? (assuming this is an outside shoot)

Re: Project - Brides #3Many thanks for your comments, very good points!
The truth is that i have had some other poses in my mind, but it was the first time i have seen the model and very soon i realized that there were some limits... Althoug, it isn't her fault but mine. The lesson for me was that i have to spend more time with the model and not the shooting day but a day or two before to have the ability to organize my plans better and know how much i can push a situation. Bad english - i know - but i hope that you can understand what i'm saying. Many thanks again for the comments and the suggestions!!
Re: Project - Brides #3
I have one assistant and as for the time 6-7pm. I had to reduce three stops via ND to use f1.2 or f1.4 in these shots.
Re: Project - Brides #3
I didnt realise there was so much light at that time of day, but then again it is the summer in Europe isnt it? Cameron
