Hey guys!

Up are my images from last thursday with Wendell, first time shooting with him and i must say.. the key thing i learnt was expression of image. I was pretty happy with myself, but feel as if I can do alot better in terms of how I personally went.

and here's the set.

Wow Marcus! There is something to like in every one of these shots. Looks like it was a very productive get-to-gether with Wendell. Hard pressed to pick a favourite but perhaps the last one bit a smidge.

Thanks Craig, I loved shooting every second of these.. Loved watching a pro in action! You can probably imagine me in all sorts of weird positions and such to get these shots.. haha although i do feel as if i could have done alot better.. all in practice i guess.

P.S. Roast Beef Sanwiches are you best friend on photoshoots.

Thanks guys, I am proud of this work, though, I feel as if i could do so much better.. i think it's got more to do with my own efforts I guess, I really wish I can work harder on it, but thanks for you're good graces =D much appreciated guys!

I only just found out what exemplary means, and what a powerful word to describe my work, I'm rather speechless at that! haha ( Cameron knows it's rare for me to be speechless), thanks Chris!

Marcus, your work has just stepped up another notch! You will make a name for yourself in the industry soon enough.

#1 needs a touch more DOF, but not a lot
#2 the focus is on her sleeve (nice lace detail) but I find her head/face just a tad too soft
#4 is my favourite, the subdued colours work well a does the vignette

Fabulous images. They're all publishable pictures, imho.

What an opportunity, and a great result. Your model will be adding some of these to her folio for sure.

Love number 4, if I had to pick just one.

thanks for the DOF on number 1... I can see where thats leading to, but I might ad a soft light over the layer to see how that turns out. thanks Cam!

Thanks for your wonderful comment, as a fellow 7D user, feels great to just say.. yeah.. i shot this with a 7D.. take that 5D mark II owners!!
It was a fantastic opportunity given by a fantastic photographer, wouldn't have this opportunity if it wasn't for the word's "sheer dumb luck" to come in somewhere, with the addition of hard work of course.

The color scheme is credit to Wendell, his advice in color balance helped me experiment a bit more, like i said restrictions of creative ideas became no more, and it was just creative ideas. The vignette i added and you'd be surprised what the original actually looks like. Wendell himself was in 1/4 of the frame

#1 and #4 take the cake here. #1 because it's close crop and photos with tight crops are usually difficult to get right but this is bang on target.

All excellent images imo, I almost mistook them for wendell's!

gotta love the old school nikkors, thats where it all shoudl start, 'cause it really teaches one appreciation for the more expensive gear..and AF. That said with teh arsenal of lens you had before I was surprised to see you using, I assume, cams 135mm.

Yeah, i love those old school nikkors! it did teach me to appreciate the more expensive gear.. as well as the cheaper ones. =) AF didn't seem too much of an issue for me here though, stand off distance was happy length. BUT... this is MY 135mm f2.8 Nikkor.. i purchased it a few months back.. haven't touched it till i got the adapter 2 days prior to shooting this, best lens purchase i've ever scored, great price too.. at $70 bucks. I guess, it's already given me back it's value

Marcus played with my 135mm and decided he needed one and one then appeared for his picking. BTW Marcus...MF is no excuse for missing the focus...unless you mean to say that the lace sleeve is the focal point you intended?
