I took this handheld pano during my visit to the Stockton beach as part of a Sygna wreck shoot. I had the major mistake of leaving my polariser on the lens during this pano. It is much easier to leave the polariser out rather than post produce it out !

Also this illustrates CS5 'content aware fill' in action. Once the pano was made, one hit of the content aware fill did the job.

I should have posted that in the first place! After digging through the pictures, I haven't saved the original. I recreated the pano to show an approximation of how it looked prior. Mind you, I think this is a perfect candidate for content aware fill. The main rules of contect aware fill is, that the dumbass behind the keyboard is aware of what they are filling.

I would like to see the first one without the vingette to compare.

I haven't got a non-vignetted version. The vignette wasn't intentional. I was trying to get rid of the strong polariser effect. I will have to have another look at my edit if I've saved a PSD file!

Suren, the more i look at that image, the more I like it, my only comment would be the lighten up the lower left a bit, just to bring out the person.

I love teh way the tracks lead you to the house structure, then the pano crop just leads you to the person...really nice composition there and perfect pano choice.


With the polariser issue - which, by the way I do it all teh time... Did you try lightening the centre polarised area? I find lightening it and desaturation in that specific area usually removes the CPL effect. Its only sky there so it should be pretty easy to fix..
